Artist description
Reich Neffcopp (Twang A) and Morter Farmbo (Twang B) are two enigmatic, perpetually 15-year-old rock heroes wandering through the age of irony in search of an epic anthem. Reveling in fist-pumping irrelevance, The II Twangs take the concept of Rock for Rock's Sake to its illogical conclusion. Hard rock grooves, manic guitar work, and belted vocals are haphazardly but fervently piled into an industrial-sized blender to create a brain-numbing rock and roll frap. Though often compared with Spinal Tap and Tenacious D, The II Twangs are neither a parody nor a comedy act. They're here to rock and rule for real. |

Artist History
The II Twangs first began to develop their cult following by accident in 1990 when Neffcopp let someone listen to their improvisational debut EP "Yep" on his walkman. By the time their second record, the high concept "Days of Paraphernalia", was released in 1992, the Twangs had amassed a group of some two or three-dozen rabid fans as well as critical attention for the performance art track, "An Awful Wet Conversation". In the mid 90s the Twangs waged war on the flannel-clad grunge movement with a series of legendary "II Twangs & Fiends" concerts, and released their hit single "Perry Mastodon" (B-side "Roger"), attracting a new fan legion in the Midwestern college circuit. In the latter nineties, however, the Twangs inexplicably passed out of all knowledge until, after a five-year hiatus, Farmbo and Neffcopp could no longer accept the slow death of the guitar solo as a fixture of American pop music. The duo swiftly reunited and cranked out their third major release, "Hal's Deacon Strut". |
