Artist History
Dustin enjoys performing a wide variety of music but his passion is classic country music. Within his own style you will hear those of legends Jim Reeves, Marty Robbins, Buck Owens, Johnny Bush, Ray Price, Johnny Horton, and Hank Williams to name a few.
Over the past few years Dustin has actively developed those attributes with a goal of writing, recording and performing on a national basis. He continues to be a featured entertainer at country music shows and events. Dustin has also gained recognition by winning several talent contests, U.S. and Europe airplay, as well as media attention in the past few years.
In October 1995 he recorded his first album, Travelin' Without Me in Nashville at KMA Records. He completed his second album in 1996, Gettin' Over You that consists of ten self- penned cuts. Dustin was chosen as the Grand Prize Winner of the TNN/Southwest Airlines Hank Williams look-a-like contest and released an 8 song album entitled An Echo From The Past...A Tribute To Hank. In 2002 he completed Searchin’ another self-penned album. Dustin is presently working on another album.
Dustin has gained attention with his unique style and charisma. He has been credited with performing “...one of the best tribute shows to Hank Williams ever done.” Bob Everhart, President of the National Traditional Country Music Association.
Not only is Dustin an outstanding vocalist with a wide variety of styles, he is also a very talented songwriter. He has been nominated for several songwriting awards. Dustin is a versatile entertainer in performing with a full band or alone.
Each day Dustin Hunt pursues this career with vigor; writing and performing a variety of songs, performing anywhere and anytime he is given the opportunity as well as obtaining studio, stage experience, radio airplay, and media attention. All these endeavors are in an effort to prepare himself for the day when the world will hear his music.
At present he is looking forward to increasing his large repertoire of classic country songs and writing songs for his upcoming album. He is hoping to have this album complete by the summer of 2003. |
