Artist History
Kringer is an alternative-pop band from Bismarck, North Dakota. The band consists of Ryan Englehardt (Vocals); Casey Traynor (Bass); Lee Jacobs (Guitar); and Craig Sparling (Drums). Kringer came together in October of 2000 and have since released their self-titled debut album, which contains seven original songs. One of the songs on the album, "1999", was a top-ten alternative song on Farmclub.com and has received air-play on some local radio stations. During the month of March (2001), Kringer was voted the #6 Unsigned Pop Band on Farmclub.com. Kringer is planning a tour of the Midwest for August and on recording a full length album this summer, so watch out!!! The roots of Kringer were formed way back in 96' when then seventh grader Ryan Englehardt transferred to a private school (Shiloh), where he met Lee Jacobs. The two boys quickly became friends because Ryan, who has A.D.D., and Lee, who is just pure evil, spent lots of time together after school in detention. Two years latter Ryan transferred out of the private school, however Casey Traynor transferred to Shiloh and he also quickly befriended Jacobs because the two shared a common interest in the fact that they are both deaf in one ear. After the two realized that they were both deaf in one ear, they then came to realize that they were both also born on the same day (Aug 31). Later that year Craig Sparling transferred into Shiloh; he was never really friends with Lee & Casey he was much too cool for them. While then a year latter Craig transferred away and six months latter so did Casey, leaving Lee all alone in Shiloh. But it wasn’t until another six months went by when Casey, Lee, and Ryan were sitting in Casey’s basement and decided to start a popish band because all of the local bands in Bismarck were Hard-core, Punk bands. The band came up with the name Kringer because it is the cat on the TV show HE-Man. Kringer was looking for a drummer, when they had remember a kid named Craig, who they had gone to school with, who said he had played the drums before. But when they called Craig, he laughed at they because honestly would you want to be in a band with two deaf kids and a kid with A.D.D. While because there was no one else to drum the band picked up Brendin Jockim to drum. After recording the demo and sending a copy to Craig, he then realized Kringer rocks and asked if he could be in their band, they quickly said yes and got rid of Brendin. The break-up of Brendin was very rough and Lee, Ryan, and Casey hope that someday they can become friends again...WHEN KRINGER IS RICH AND FAMOUS!!! HA HA HA |
