Artist History
In the spring of 1998, a transcendental event occurred: a band was formed.
Fast forward to the fall. Eryn Frazee and Amy Doucette met each other at a concert in Hartford, CT. They both noted that they were from Massachusetts and exchanged phone numbers. A week later, Amy called Eryn and they decided to set up a visit. When Eryn came to her house, she was asked to join the band. Eryn accepted.
Eryn, Amy, Tracey and Cayce began working on some music. They decided to record a CD for friends and family, and went to the studio to do so. The CD entitled Place Title Here would not be released until 2000.
Things were a bit hectic for Tracey, and she needed time out of the band to get her life together. The girls agreed, but continued on without her.
A copy of their CD reached a man in 1999, who was interested in working with them. They set up a meeting and everyone was more than thrilled to begin the project of a demo. The first studio they went to did not meet the standards they required, so they moved on. The next studio was very nice, but it was there where some creative differences occurred and the man helping CAg was let go.
Not too long after, Cayce quit the band leaving Eryn and Amy by themselves. Fortunately enough in 2000, Tracey was ready to come back, as everything was going much better for her. Amy and Eryn agreed and they went back to the studio.
This time, there was something missing. The girls no longer had a folk/acoustic vibe anymore, with the drums, electric guitar and keyboard they had. They were moving towards rock, and wanted a sound with an edge to it. The studio they had first recorded at was no longer for them. Recording was canceled, and they began their search for a different studio.
The summer of 2000, CAg was introduced to a guitarist, Jennifer Boyden, online by their friend Alana Franklin. The girls became friends, and Jen was asked to join the band. She accepted.
Early in 2001, the four girls took to a studio they had recorded at with their previous manager. However, transportation, time, and money problems held the girls back. They were also supposed to receive a copy of their completed work, which the owner said he would mail out, and never did. The girls left that studio and never looked back.
After a while, a new studio was found. The girls recorded a four-song demo there, but that did not appear to be enough. They decided to do a full CD. The recording process began once again, but was halted when Tracey decided that music wasn't for her anymore. Even though she left the band, she still helps out once in a while. Not too long after, some personal and professional differences arose with Jen, and she was out of the band.
Now in early 2002, it is back to Eryn and Amy again. The girls are still working on their CD with help from their studio engineer, and hope to release it later this year. |
