Artist History Yellow Jumps Twice, Britrock from Frankfurt/M., Germany. It is always the same procedure – the old band’s blown into cosmic dust, so a new one is born. Late 1999 Sebastian Teufel started to record the best songs he wrote during the last four years. Two months later “True Companions”, the first CD by Yellow Jumps Twice was born. Though Sebastian started by himself, the wish to play his songs with a real band was growing. The diversity of instruments he is able to play and his emotional songwriting are his remarkable features. Ulrich Teufel, brother of Sebastian was playing the drums for several years. Then he took a drum break, came back and saved himself from discovering the cosmic ways of cleaning by joining the band. His straight and cool beats are the foundation of the band`s sound. So do not ask about his remarkable features! So these two guys and a bass player had some jam sessions. But what they needed was a second guitar player. They asked Harald Gritschke. He had played the bass for the band Sebastian was in before, though he is really a guitar man. After five years of blowing cosmic dust off his guitars it was easy for him to say: ”Yes!” Amplifiers from the pre-historic period of rock music, pointing his finger at the dark sides of song arrangement and taking nothing too seriously are his remarkable features. Since then the band released one more single (“Fish Stories”/2001) and the debut album “Yellow Jumps Twice”/2002. Since January 2003 the band’s got a new bass player: Silke Thomas. Her cosmic motivation and to be part two of the band’s sound foundation are her remarkable features.
