Artist History
For the last four years The United Jumbo Band has provided a unique blend of alternative blues, ska, and funk to its loyal fans. The outfit has performed throughout the D.C. area appearing at numerous venues including The Grog and Tankard, Taliano’s, Lewie’s and Georgetown University. On March 31, 2001 UJB won the Montgomery County Battle of the Bands, defeating nearly 30 other bands. In June they recorded their first studio album, entitled “Album”, which consists of nine originals. UJB has since sold nearly 200 copies of their self-produced album to enthusiastic fans at their energy filled performances. Now in their first year of college, UJB is currently planning on recording over winter break and is in the process of organizing a 2002 summer tour. |
