Artist description
Mêlée (pronounced may-lay) was formed in the year 2000. Hailing from "Vacationland" and comprised of vocalist, Tim Sereyko; guitarist Josh Torrey; drummer, Lee Levassuer; and bassist Dennis Daly, the band wasted no time at letting people know just exactly who they were. With dreams to fulfill and goals to achieve, Melee unhesitantly took their home state of Maine by storm, playing local area venues and eventually branching out further in the New England region. There were however, a few bumps and inescapable bruises along the way which left the band with no choice but to dismiss Daly from the band. This void would not be left unfilled for long as Melee quickly recruited, temporary replacement, Christoff Smith, and continued to march on right where they had left off. Smith's temporary stint with Melee finally came to a close in October 2002. From there, several auditions where held and Sereyko, Torrey, and LeVassuer were able to find a permanent fix in bass player, Tom Small. Melee, now regrouped with "Smalls", began practicing relentlessly, pouring each others artistry into a mold and sculpting that into what has now become their signature sound.
Melee brings forth to the rock world, music fitting to their name. All out heavy metal fury, complete intricacy caked with harmony, skull crushing screams, and aggressive vocal melodies. Their sound covers the entire spectrum. Sereyko's lyrics are emotionally driven, touching on personal experience, life's infinite lessons and never-ending obstacles, as well as public issues, all relative to any listener.
Feast your ears as Melee sets of on their musical warpath. Rest assured that the industry is in good hands. The sound is infesting. Whether you want it to or not, it will move you. |
