Artist description
Way back in 1985, in the upstate New York city of Utica, four classic metal warriors gathered to wail crunching anthems into the unsuspecting void. Influenced by Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Mercyful Fate, and the like, Messiah's unusual, historically-flavored compositions such as "Soothsayer" and "The Emissary" had all the power and might of their illustrious metal forebears. |

Artist History
Recorded in 1985 at Utica's UCA Studios, and produced/engineered by Bob Yauger, these five killer tracks etched their glory in sonic stone forever. Years later, the band's songwriting team (bruising axeman Daemon D'Amore and leather-lunged vocalist Damian Peril, the latter rechristened "Blaise") would form the even more intense Christ Function. |
