Artist description
"A melodic noise from the urban disquiet of Detroit, Document spurn the conventions of independent music and blaze a trail created by their feet alone. Constantly evolving and exploring the boundaries of rock, they maintain a beauty few acts give birth to all the while unleashing an aggression controlled by their sense of structure. A strong rhythm section backing the intricate string works of the twin guitar barrage is what drives the music of Document. Crowning the cacophony, the soaring vocals carry the music to heights unrestrained. Having taken their works to the road, this quartet of accomplished talents are now back to the proverbial drawing board and are hatching the eggs of the creative process. Document are in the planning stages of presenting their art once again for mass consumption. Listen and heed." |

Press Reviews
Document provides a tight and rhythmic take on post-rock, a style more often deemed loose and unbridled. Drums, bass, voice and two guitars all provide an aggressive percussive "hardcore" push, which makes way for post-rock yelps and hoarse whimpers. Coursing through the spindly veins of recent rock history, Document's music even somehow manages to come out melodic. And that's pretty remarkable. (Metro Times) Melissa Giannini |
