WMFP STUDIOS REEASES BREAST CANCER BENEFIT ALBUM
DISEASE CONTROL VOL I – A CURE FOR BREAST CANCER
(New York) - WMFP Studios has collaborated with musical talents from around the world, in an effort to raise awareness for one the deadliest killers Breast Cancer. WMFP Studios has been joined by such supporters as the Estee Lauder Corporation, House Of Jordan Records, Health And Fitness magazine and others, to present Disease Control Volume I - A Cure For Breast Cancer.
Matthew Prendergast, President of WMFP Studios produced and created this album to raise awareness and funds for those fighting to win the battle against breast cancer. Prendergast was inspired to start this project since he lost his mother to the disease, and felt the need to lend a hand to all other women and families who have been affected by the disease. For each CD sold, half the proceeds will go directly to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation to help aid in the fight for a cure, and the other half to MP3.com for their remarkable support in making our dream a reality.
This CD will be made available for sale on line beginning October 15, 2001 exclusively at www.mp3.com/diseasecontrolvolume1 for $15.00. The album, available on CD and as a digital download, consists of twelve tracks from all kinds of musical genres – from jazz (featuring Steven Boyd), to alternative (featuring Eye Inside), to country (featuring Pamelody) and many others. Produced at the WMFP Studios in New York, this CD is full of gifted musicians who have donated their songs and time to the cause. Two of the recording artists, Kryptonic and Binge have had their music featured on MTV and The WB Network. WWW.MP3.com is one of the top sites on the web to find downloadable music and their involvement in this project has been instrumental.
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) is the first and largest not-for-profit organization dedicated solely to funding clinical and genetic research on breast cancer. Founded in 1993 by Evelyn H. Lauder, BCRF has awarded nearly $30 million to leading investigators at premier institutions nationwide to help find "a cure in our lifetime". BCRF guarantees that a minimum of 85% of all funds raised goes directly to research.
