Artist description BlueBrain is a 4 headed pop/sympho/rockband from 's-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands. BlueBrain started in december 1998 as a singer-songwriter duo when Ed de Tollenaer and Emiel Meijer first met. They already had written several songs of their own, so they started playing them together, and basically that's when BlueBrain was born. By pure coincidence they got the chance to do their first gig as the support act for Fish (ex-frontman Marillion). What a start.... After playing for a year and a couple of gigs they decided to search for a bass player and a drummer to get a more complete sound. In februari 2000 Tonnie and Paul Hussaarts joined the band and their entrance ment a whole new revolution of the sound of BlueBrain. Their contribution resulted in a mix of multipart-voices singer-songwriter music with rock influences. BlueBrain is a perfect band for alternative (folk) festivals and underground clubs.
