Artist description
the capitals are a four piece rock band from seattle, washington. we play up-tempo pop rock, focusing on sharp, energetic songs and strong vocals. since reforming with our current lineup in may 2002, we have played several shows throughout washington and oregon - including headlining spots. live shows are fun - spontaneous dancing frequently breaks out during our set. our music is also emotionally driven and lyrically powerful. in addition to being invited back to every venue we have ever played, we have performed at private parties and open mic nights as an acoustic quartet. |

Artist History
the capitals formed in March 2001, and played several local shows during the summer and fall of that year. we then recorded a 4-song demo at The Paradox Studios with Joel Brown in August of 2001. over the winter we wrote all new material and re-formed in May 2002 with our current lineup.
in August 2002 after playing several more local shows, we self-produced and recorded another 4-song demo in our secret basement lair. hear it at mp3.com.
in the meantime, we have several shows lined up in the northwest. come out and see the capitals soon!
