Artist History
Up for it started in the summer of '99 around
Fiesta, a five day festival in Santa Barbara.
Viva La Fiesta! Jansen Lee and Brian Kuroda met up
while throwing confetti eggs at Sugarcult, and
started the band that we've all grown to know and
love. The original members were Jansen, Brian,
Ian Williams, and Sean Lamb. They were later
connected with a very talented bass player, Steve
Libby. Steve had played bass for other bands
around town. He and Brian knew eachother and
decided to get together and jam one day, and Steve
has been in the band ever since. After recording a
5-song demo Up for it decided that they needed to
start looking for a new drummer. They found one during the school year,
that drummer was Dan Moore. He practiced with
the band a few times, and he got the job. The Up for it lineup
was finally complete. They played lots of shows
and recorded again at The Living room with our
friend, John Lyons. Today, Up for it continues
to play shows and write new music. These guys arent only in a band, but they are a tightly-knitted group of friends as well. We love all of
our fans, friends, and family and thank everyone! |
