Artist History
Malcolm Kneezer, born in California, has been playing music - mostly notably guitar, but also keyboards and vocals - since the age of 9. He played right through jr. high and into high school with his first band, The Wizards, a power trio. They started off by writing all of their own songs and that's what he's been doing ever since. After playing with several party bands for experience, Malcolm moved to Hollywood, CA where he played in a few bands around the scene. The most notable was Pure Filth, a hard rock outfit working toward the big time up until the early 1990s.
Lately the artist has been working on a soul searching brand of rock music, paying less attention to industry trends and more attention to his inner voice, music as a pure form of expression. He is currently working on his 2nd solo CD which he plans to release at the end of this year.
Malcolm comes to us from a musical background with 3 musician uncles, a musician grandfather, and a musician brother. He studied music at Valley College, Orange Coast College, and went on to study privately with the eminent Ted Greene. He spends time with songwriting workshops when he can, but the bulk of his education came from his days living down the street from The Musician's Institute in Hollywood and from The School of Hard Knocks in NY. |
