    Artist description
Formed in the heart of Boise, Idaho in 2000, Fly2Void members Fahd (guitars), Grant (drums), 'Nasty' Nate (bass) and Jayk (vocals) rapidly became a hot ticket. With chemistry igniting their garage from the get-go, the formula for their hard driving melodic sound was born. Not even a month in existence, Fly2Void started working on their first three-track demo locally. A couple of months later, KQXR, 100.3 The X, got a hold of a copy and spun the song 'Better Side' on a segment called "Cage Match." The song won over the audience for 7 nights in a row, beating out the likes of U2, Skrape, Flybanger and more. From January 22, 2001 to April 7, 2001, 'Better Side' had a total of 118 spins. Boise erupted, 100.3 The X was flooded with requests and they introduced an unsigned band into medium rotation. At the end of 2001, "Better Side" was named #91 of The Top 100 Songs of 2001 on 100.3 The X, Formally in rotation on 100.3 The X, is a song called 'Journey'. This song had an even bigger reaction than 'Better Side'. It beat bands like Alien Ant Farm, Jimmy Eat World, The Living End, Dave Navarro and others. Since May 11, 2001 to date, 'Journey' has had more than 200 spins and counting. It is also in the Top 10 for caller requests. "Journey" was named #51 of The Top 100 Songs of 2001 on 100.3 The X. Dennis Rider, a band manager from Hollywood (Ugly Kid Joe, Blind Melon and MF Pit Bulls) and John Blaufarb, an attorney from San Francisco (Korn, System of a Down, Social Distortion) flew to Boise early 2001 to see Fly2Void live. Shortly after the parties met, Fly2Void hired them for representation. Since then Fly2Void has traveled to Hollywood three times, once to work with their producer Jay Baumgardner (Papa Roach, Alien Ant Farm, Drowning Pool) at NRG Studios (311, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Incubus) to produce a three-track demo. The second trip was to play at the famed Troubadour in West Hollywood. The third and most recent trip was to record their latest album, "A New Thought," released on May 17, 2002. In their endeavors, Fly2Void has befriended groups such as Chris Cornell, 311, Sugar Ray, Adema, Alien Ant Farm, Good Charlotte, Apex Theory, Pressure 4-5 and Unified Theory. Fly2Void currently packs venues, is in constant local media. F2V performed at Boise's Guitar Center grand opening, which was a huge success. The Big Easy Concert House, a House of Blues style club, run by Bravo Entertainment (Bill Silva Presents), was only a national venue, that is until they met Fly2Void. Fly2Void's reputation brought them in to open up the Unified Theory show -- for a packed house. They later opened for Adema twice at another jammed packed house. The club gave Fly2Void two headlining spots and they had the venue close to capacity (approximately 1000) both times. Because of Fly2Void's success, The Big Easy has included a 'Locals Night' in their jammed packed schedule. Recently at the Big Easy Concert House, Fly2Void opened the Cold, Dope and Lifer show. On December 4, 2001, they will be the opening band for (hed) p.e. as well. Holding their CD Release Party at The Big Easy Concert House on May 17, 2002, F2V nearly sold out the venue. Fly2Void is constantly writing new material, playing, traveling and working their asses off. The bottom line in this groups eyes....."We are four best friends doing what we love, working hard and sacrificing everything for the opportunity to continue playing music for a living.....that would be a dream come true!" --Fly2Void
