Artist description Fear Candy's original concept was to create painful noises that would dictate the direction and flow of the music; the intent being to create a style of music that was different than the current darkwave and industrial music prevalent at clubs. Most of the sequences have been recorded from tape so continuity and flaws may be present. Tape decks and 'live' recordings were the way that most of Fear Candy's sounds were captured. Artist History Fear Candy began in 1995 by sole member Bari Davis performing shows in Richmond with popular local artists such as Bella Morte, Siddal, Vehemence Realized, Krell, and My Psychotic Motor. For live performances members were recruited to rehearse and sometimes create new songs exclusively for the live performances.
