Artist History
The current line up of the Clockwork Click(Sick-P,
Malaki, and D.J. Crown) began practicing and
performing together in the spring of 2000 at
parties and social gatherings. We have made
appearances solo and as a group at parties mostly
organized by Fresh Communications, an organization
of dejays, emcees and other hip-hop enthusiasts
local to the P-cola, and West Fla. area. We have
recently become more committed and have been
regularly producing beats and laying down tracks
as a result of increased self production
resources. We are hoping to gain a little
recognition taking measures such as building this
web site, scheduling local events, and showing our
asses at parties every chance we get. A demo is
currently in the works.
Patrick James Danaher: Lyricist, emcee, alchoholic
son of a bitch... AKA Sick-P.
P started rappin in 1994 at the ripe old age of
15. He did it for fun and never took it seriously
at first. It all really started for him in '97
when at a party some child challenged him to a
battle. He roasted the kid. Sick-P took the crowd
response and from then on he Knew that hip-hop was
inside of him. Over the next few years P was
writting steadily and pouncing any oppertunity to
exhibit his freestylabilty. Pensacola's scarce
scene had little to offer and it wasn't until
summer of 1999 that he had anyone to relate with
on the same level of seriousness. He and I began
battling over other artists beats and eventually
collaberating to write songs. In the spring of
2000 I introduced him to D.J. Crown and the three
of us began working together to form the
foundation of what was to become the Clockwok
Click. The rest is future history.
Joseph Bartholomew Wilson, lyricist, multi-
talented musician, alchoholic son of a bitch...
AKA Malaki, MickDaddy...
At age twelve I began to express interest in
becoming a musician. I was teaching myself to
play my father's drums and begging him to buy me a
bass guitar. On my thirtenth birthday I was given
an Ibanez bass and a crate practice amp that my
pops found in a pawn shop. I began learning the
bass, and a year later I picked up the guitar as
well.
At age sixteen came my first serious exposure to
hip-hop from an insider's view. All along my
friend Rocky and I would freestyle at parties, but
it wasn't until I had gone to visit my mother in
Baltimore that I had exposure to a deep Hip-Hop
scene.
I met a kid named Dennis who spun Hip-Hop and
had a studio in his basement. We got high one day
in his studio and he was spinnin some shit.
I was fuckin around, freestylin and clownin on
the mic. That night Dennis took me to a party
and there was a battle. He got me drunk and
convinced me to enter the competition. I got
on the mic and was quickly eliminated on the
first round, but the rush of being on stage
flowing had me addicted. |
