Artist History
In a nut shell...
Catheter originated with Rich, Rob and Matt way back in the early 90's... They never had a singer. Matt who was in the band WITHSTAND had to leave and tour around the world so an ad was placed in the paper and Andy answered in 97-98. they started looking for a singer and had Maria from PULSE sing for a bit... It didnt work out. I [Lydia] met Rich at a show we started hanging out and he mentioned he had a band and needed a singer. I was playing guitar for Sever (which was called Torn) at the time. I gave it a shot and we all seemed to click... Maria eventually left us (she had some melodic styles thrown in) As I mentioned I had a friend (Nikki) who was a great singer. We peeled her off the face of the planet and she joined the band also. Andy then decided he had other things to do and left us. Matt instantly took his place and we went from there. Andy momentarily rejoined our band as lead giutar but that didnt work out for long. Leter on our drummer and guitar player(Rob) started having... we'll say "issues." Rob decided to depart from the band, and he trademarked the name Catheter. (not that it was even his to begin with) Basically, with time, he didn't come back to the band, and we had to change our name to BETTER WITHOUT to clear things up and here we are. |
