Artist History
I was raised in a small town outside of Sudbury called Lively. I started playing music when I was seven. I spent much of my early years living in the suburbs of Lively, riding horses, and enjoying the outdoors. I was always a closet performer and though I performed in early childhood musicals, I lacked the teenage confidence to perform in high school. After one year of Biochemistry at Laurentian University, one season of racing for the varsity swim team, and one summer of tree planting in Chapleau, Ontario, I realized I needed to do something different with my life. I continued with my education while performing as a lead singer / keyboard player for a band called "Soakin' Wet". I also started taking vocal lessons, singing in the University choir, and performing solo and duo shows around Sudbury and outlying towns. I was asked to create a theme song for the YWCA of Sudbury who later partly funded the making of my first demo CD entitled "Here's my Demo". In the summer of 1999, I finished University with a Bachelor of Science degree and moved to Guelph to further expand on my music career. For one year, I worked as a counselor at a group home while performing and recording. I realized it would be much better for my career if I lived in a bigger city, so I moved to Toronto in September of 2000. I started performing as a back-up singer for a seven piece band called "Bunkhouse Romeo". It was one of the band members who helped me to find a great management company called "Roadhouse Productions".
Throughout my life, I've always been a very active person. I love snowboarding , swimming, soccer, and basically any sport at all. But more than anything else, I love to make music.
