It is a never ending journey to find that perfect sound that can be enjoyed both on the floor and on the headphones. Artist History
Born in 1974 in rural pennsylvania Kemicon 1 has been a beat fiend since he first touched a keyboard. Kemicon 1 started Djing under the name SPF 33.3 and played many a hip-hop party in the New York area.
In the winter of 1998 Kemicon 1 met up with his fi rst partner in musical crime and formed the live outfit known as Swamp Thing. Swamp Thing combined downtempo beats, classic rock records, and politically
charged samples in a unique blend that never failed to ignite the crowd. As the millenium turned Swamp Thing no longer felt content with the 95 to 110 bpm sound it had been making. Welcome to the dawn of
the breakbeats. Shortly after Swamp Thing switched to breakbeats the duo temporarily set off on independent paths to music bliss.
Today you can find Kemicon 1 Djing under the name of JDOT and he currently rolls with the Leisure Society (http://www.leisuresociety.com/)out of New York City.› |
