Artist History
The band formed in mid-1997 and have since
performed throughout the West, including shows
at the Whiskey a-go-go, Spaceland, the Coconut
Teaszer, the Satyricon (Portland), and at the New
Rock 104 Birthday Bash. On March 9, 2000 THE
SLEEPOVER DISASTER released its first recording,
"only if...", a 6-song e.p. featuring a new
recording of "i don't want", which appeared on
the akickprodukt label's "Cultivation vol.4"
compilation. In March of 2001, the song "china
dress" appeared on the VelvetBlueMusic (label
owned by Jeff Cloud of Starflyer 59) compilation
"Scene but not Herd". The song was later remixed
and released worldwide by Octavius on the
JustOneEntertainment label.
The band's first full length recording, "staring
at nothing", will be released on October 23, 2001.
The first single, "over the top", will be
released to college radio nationwide to coincide
with the release of the album.
Songs from both CDs can be heard on 90.7FM KFSR @
