Artist History
Jakki Rogue is an extraordinary musician,
singer and song writer
who has proudly enjoyed Maritime celebrity for
the past twenty years.
She was born in Red Lake, Ontario
as Jacqueline Rognvaldson -
an Icelandic name rich with family heritage and culture,
whose roots stretch as far as Latvia on her mother's side.
Jakki's ancestors expressed their passion and exotic
background through music - her mother, who held a
Royal Conservatory degree in classical music,
taught both piano and accordion and introduced
Jakki to her strong cultural ties to both music
and family. In addition, her grandmother became a
famous classical pianist who performed throughout
Europe. Most notably, Jakki's grandmother was
revered in Germany where she performed for the
troops during WWII. It was by her grandmother's
side at the tender age of four years that Jakki
began her musical training on piano. |
