Artist History
"I grew up in a factory town outside of Newark, NJ," Chris recalls during a radio interview, " My parents owned a big record collection, and I grew up listening to all kinds of music. I think that's where this whole thing started. It just became part of who I am." Much of these influences can be heard in Chris' smokey, bluesy vocals and guitar work, reminiscent of such artists as John Mellencamp and Bruce Springsteen. Onstage he lays all the cards out on the table, and holds nothing back. "An artist has to project how they feel about the music across to the audience, where it comes from, what was going through their mind when they wrote it," Chris says. "It's a brand new story every time they sing it." Since beginning his performing career almost a year ago, Chris' following has grown to cover much of the Northeastern United States. His music has been heard on several College and local radio stations in Upsate New York, and has received critical acclaim in many regional magazines. He is constantly on the road performing and has just completed his first CD titled "The Innocence EP". He now resides in Buffalo, NY, which he has called home for the past decade. |
