Artist History
...are from North Bend, Washington. The music we play is inspired by our family history. Our grandfather came to Snoqualmie in 1928 with ten cents in his pocket. Since then his life took many turns. He hopped trains during the Great Depression, picked apples, logged, worked at the mill during labor disputes, swung a hammer and laid rails for the railroad, and was a janitor at Mt. Si Highschool. Other inspiration for our music comes from traditional Native American songs and stories from the Snoqualmie Valley. Our father was born in the town of Snoqualmie Falls and grew up working in the woods as a logger and for the forest service. The violin that Bob plays dates back to 1893 in Seattle and was owned and played by his great-grandfather,(mother's side of the family). The folklore surrounding serial killers, strange occurrences, ghost phenomenon, funny and bizarre people that live or have lived here, concerns for the future, awareness of the present, and respect for the past are sources for our original songwriting. We help preserve the living history of the Pacific Northwest. |
