Artist History
Well, I first started mixing music in my sophomore
year in highschool (back in 1997). I was using my pc and the
poor-sounding 128 instruments featured by my
Yamaha AWE35 soundcard I had at that time. I was
recording the beats and tunes layed down in
Presto Arranger (a MIDI based arranger software)
into Cool Edit and mixing them as waves. A second
phase was when I got Rebirth software and I was
blown away by what that little toy could squeeze
out, but I still kept my classic method of
sampling with Cool Edit, witch gave me a litlle
more freedom of capturing just the essence of
Rebirth's sounds and actually being able to mix
them with other sounds and apply a lot more
effects. Recently I got myself a real sequencer,
the mc-307, which is actually a lot more than that,
they call it groovebox. I also got the XP-30 for
its reknown practical usability. I don't know,
I'm just fascinated with digital music toys and
the depth of electronic sound.
