Artist description
THE NAME: The name really doesn't pertain to a form of music. (Even though the band features their own arrangements of classic jazz standards). It is more a play on the "positive-negative" angle:
" jazz" - a free-style art form, open, with no boundaries, and
"ethics" - strict morals, more ridged and specific.
This is exactly what Jazz Ethics does with their music. They will take you down many musical avenues, on an unrestricted pilgrimage, but reflect traditional musical images to get their point across. The result is like "salt and pepper" or " sweet and sour," - two distinct ideas that somehow are compelling when combined.

Artist History
In 1985, Larry Wolkan, Craig Friedman, and Kevin Truman formed Jazz Ethics. Larry, Craig and Kevin decided the new band would give them the opportunity to feature the "jazzier blues" style of music they have always loved, yet play "other types" and styles as well. After a few years, the band was well established in the Central Ohio musical circuit. In November 1997, Jason Greenwald joined the band, filling a void after other musicians came and went over the early years.
Jazz Ethics' diverse musical tastes can easily allow them to switch musical flavors from Rock to Reggae, or Alternative to Country. Over the years they have become almost chameleon-like, performing and writing hundreds of songs that fit into all genres of music. With such a vast musical background, Jazz Ethics can please the most varied audience. They have honed their unique style and stage presentation by playing their eclectic favorites and memorable originals. This in turn has attracted a loyal following.
Jazz Ethics has played numerous venues of various sizes. They are equally at home in classy resturants, corporation events, small clubs, out-door festivals, or large auditoriums. They can capture an audience with their talented and versatile vocalists and will leave you with many memorable melodies. Jazz Ethics band members, are each in there own right, talented and virtuosos and guarantee a high energy, inspirational musical performance to experience. Simply…… Jazz Ethics is a way of life… The fun part!!!
