Artist History
Taken Under began within the practice space of four concrete walls, through countless hours of blood, sweat and tears taken under forged their brand of ferocious music, combining sounds of metal and hardcore. Taken Under began in 1998 in Clarksville TN, under the name Flood and released two e.p.s which received regional and national recognition. Taken Under has toured throughout the south and midwest with opening credits or nationally touring acts static x, nothingface, flaw.

In 2002 the name changed from Flood to Taken Under signifying things to come. Taken under entered Atlantis studios in march 2002 to begin work on their first release under the name Taken Under. Taken Under's music can described as head splitting music with aggressive rhythms, heavy grooves, and hardcore vocals and breakdowns. Lyrics tell of the realty of life and the struggles people face and rising above those struggles.
In the summer of 2002 Taken Under recorded their six song EP titled “Bloodshed”. This is their best material to date continuing with there in your face intensity and adding new dimensions. The title Bloodshed derives from the times in life when you must shed your own blood to preservers through adversity. Taken Under stands for staying true to your beliefs and never giving in.
