Artist History
Albenesh was born of a dream Willow had one night, shortly after she had quit singing in Bel Geode's band- Dionysos. When Dionysos started becoming more of a burden to Bel, he signed up with his (then) lovely wife as a sideproject, playing bass and writing songs for her, along with the former guitarist for Dionysos, and a friend of the band who played congas. The four recorded "PREHISTORY" a three song EP, originally meant as an entry to a songwriting competition, but now currently available for sale. The original lineup of Albenesh disbanded shortly after, causing the couple to shelve the project for months. Shortly before Dionysos finally broke up in mid 2001, Bel Geode and Willow announced that Albenesh was back, and set about recording yet another album, the recently completed "Wisdom", also available for sale. Dissatisfied with the Florida music scene, the couple have moved to the greater Pittsburgh, PA area and are currently recruiting the talents of other musicians to redefine Albenesh; ie- Simplicity that exists amidst chaos. Even though fate has decreed that the pair shall no longer be husband and wife, Albenesh remains dedicated to creating beautiful, if not magickal World Fusion music. "If you listen, you will hear!" |
