Artist History I set the pledge to music after my father died in 1994. He was a patriot and my hero. I did it as a dedication to his memory. It was part of the way I dealt with my grief. Last year in May, I felt strong impressions to revive and re-arrange the pledge for choirs and marching bands. They were finished in August, 2001. Those versions will be on the website as soon as I can get proper recordings of them.
