Artist History
The summer of 1997 I picked up a Fender acousic. A DG-7 I think it was. I played it like there was no tomorrow. By the winter of 1997 I had all but forgotten that I owned a guitar. Over the next two years I purchased three guitars. A Korean Squire Stratocaster, a Takamine G-series acoustic, and a Fender American Standard Stratocaster. I was more of a guitar collecter than a guitar player. In 1999 I moved to Vienna, Austria, and sold my Squire and Fender acoustic back to the store. In Vienna, I played in a few bands, but nothing too serious. In 2001, a month before moving to Richmond, Virginia, I sold the Takamine to a good friend with the hopes of settling down on one axe, and finally learning to really play. Focused and free from disruptions I am now able to learn. What you hear on this site will be the fruits of my labor. Update 11/8/01: I just finished a demo of MxPx's Do Your Feet Hurt. The quality and the singing aren't too good. But what can you ask for when it's a one-take wonder. It's a great song anyway. Update 11/14/01: I should be in the studio soon, set record a four - eight song demo. I think I'm going to call it Sad Songs and Waltzes, but nothing is conclusive yet. Some of the tunes I am considering are: Unlike You's Alone, MxPx's Do Your Feet Hurt, Billy Joel's Vienna, and my very own One in Ten. If you have any suggestions, requests, drop me an email. |
