Artist History
Yolk started in February 1998 in Niterói-RJ (Brazil) and is composed of four
girls. They met each other at school, and their objective is to make
creative songs with loud guitars and a lot of distortion.
The name of the band - Yolk - can represent the beginning or the center of
something and it also has to do with fertility.
The kind of music they play is the result of their influences: punk rock,
hip-hop, alternative and heavy rock…. It means guitars with a lot of punch
and sophisticated vocals.
