    Artist History
Jon met a clown, the clown introduced Jon to Brett, Jon met Glen at hockey practice, Glen brought Nate to meet Jon, Glen/Nate left their bad band to make another bad band with Jon/Brett, we recorded our first bad album (executive asshole) with Mykee Ramen at Burnt Ramen West Oakland, Burnt Ramen West Oakland was torn down a month after we recorded there, we met the legendary Bart Thurber and booked a recording date for December 1998, Nate gave Jon the flu the day before recording our second studio album (EATS IT), EATS IT sucked, Live 105 started playing "West Bay" and we asked them to stop, we played lots of shows, Brett started to gain weight, this webpage was started, Harry Cantwell was funny and motivated, we met Corrosive 8, we put out a split CD with Corrosive 8 after recording an EP during the summer of 1999 (once again with Bart Thurber), we went to Geekfest 1999 and recorded some live tracks, Jon/Nate started Second Rate Records, we met The Sidekicks and put out their breakthrough debut CD, we started to suck live, Harry Cantwell was still funny (but no longer motivated), Live 105 started playing our shit (again) and we had to tell them to stop (once again), we were asked to play a live show at KZSU, Glen's spleen was attacked by a hockey puck (so we rescheduled the KZSU show), we finally playd KZSU after canceling twice, we recorded some live tracks at KZSU and met a new recording engineer named Brad, Brad was very attractive and popular amongst the ladies, we recorded another EP (this time in Brad's apartment) and used the tracks for our cool 7" split with The Sidekicks, that was cool, We played Your Mother's last show, Jon ate cake off of Alex's naked back, Pleasanton hated us, Brett gained more weight, Nate turned into a vegetarian, Jon cut down on eating meat (but didn't mean to), Glen still had a girlfriend, we went on tour with Corrosive 8, we were asked to play Warped Tour and got to hang out with Green Day, Weezer, Anti-Flag, etc., Jon got lockjaw and other sicknesses, Nate spent the night at a police station, Brett went to sleep, the live CD never came out, we recorded another album with Bart Thurber in August 2000, we kicked Brett out of the band, Brett left a tearful message on our answering machine (begging to remain a part of the band despite all of his failures) ,we got better once Brett was gone, Nate started to play bass, our live show got slightly better, we procrastinated.... Nate left the band on friendly terms to pursue Short Round full-time, remaining members Jon and Glen recorded the final ep by themselves with Zack Ohren. Along the way, we were banned from several venues for our "outrageous" stage antics. Spishak existed from the fall of 1997 to the summer of 2001... that's four years that saw the rise and fall of ska, emo, rap/metal and hardcore in the local scene. Goddamn, it's been fun.
