Artist History
Serrated Skull formed in the small town of Swainsboro, Georgia. We play a form of music that is somewhat rare today, which is metal. We prefer to be referred to as just "Metal" because we feel that all of the new categories of metal that exist today are unnecessary. There is only one type of metal: true metal. We are true metal, and we plan to stay that way. For us metal is more than a form of music, it is a way of life. |

Press Reviews
REVIEW FROM METAL MARK PARRY OF AUDIO AGGRESION/NECKBREAKER ONLINE: SERRATED SKULL-ETERNAL NIGHTMARES(EP)-MP3.COM-This Georgia based band unleashes their 6 song debut that is KILLER and is unashamedly a TRUE metal band as these guys proudly claim! A very young and talented group determined to make some noise in the metal underground and not a bad effort if I say myself! The band delivers through with their power/thrash metal style that should appeal to fans of King Diamond, Megadeth, and many others. The only setback is they have no drummer at the moment but with a help of a drum machine on this recording, I'm not going to complain about it. As time goes on, I think Serrated Skull will advance themselves down the road and they will be a band that will stick to their guns and win even more praise from the metal underground.REVIEW FROM ALAN CHRISTENSEN: The first E.P. released by this Metal outfit from Georgia. The Eternal Nightmares E.P. is a bone bashing 6 song EP, one of them an instrumental that can compete with any Iron Maiden or Metal Church instrumental any day. Killing Alternative shows what the band is all about, and is my favorite song on the E.P. If more young bands out there played true metal, then maybe it wouldn't seem like it was dying. For once it seems like a young group of metalheads is trying to bring the tradition back, instead of just jumping on to the bandwagon and playing more Death Metal, or Korn influenced music type music. If people want metal to live they need to help support some of the newer bands out there. Why? Because one day your idols will be dead and gone, and it these younger bands don't make it, then the metal fan in all of us will soon be DEAD!!! For my final note I would like to say that for a first release it is great! I would like to see this band signed in the future. Metal Blade are you out there???? It's time to get your Thrashing, and the Skull is here. RATING: 8 Guitars |
