Artist description
Krush Groove Kaleidescope is an experimental, underground electronic dance music project by Hip-Hop producer Nickels, (of QN5 Productions). The focusof KGK is to create the most eclectic mix of dance & electronica styles possible to forge a new sound. From Trip-Hop to Jungle, to remixes of 'old school'favorites, KGK comes to the forefront in a time where the illogical fusion of musical styles is key. |

Artist History
Started in 1997, KGK was setup as a way for Nickels to create edgier music that didn't fall under the confines of the hip-hop genre. Releasing the first album, "KGK One", locally, Nickels set out to break down the walls of 'genre bias'. Ecompassing everything from Jungle to a blatant remix of "C is For Cookie", the 1st Album is extremely eclectic, yet still cohesive and fun for the listener. Now in 2000, we'll see the release of the 2nd KGK album, "AMBERCORE", which marks Nickels' head-first dive into Drum'n'Bass. Comprised of 90% more completely original material than the first, this record sets out to blow the first away in terms of artistry and range. Watch for KGKmassive.com next spring. |

Press Reviews
"Attention-grabbing fusion of Drum 'n' Bass and Trip-Hop features sharp, forceful vocals from a no-nonsense urban diva. Tori Amos-style pianos underlie rhythms akin to a collaboration between Roni Size and Portishead." -Melissa Piazze (listen.com) |
