Artist History
Combine the smoky sounds of Jazz Guitarist Kenny Burrell with the soulful bluesy groove of Booker T and the MGs and you get the sound of the Jamie Hamilton trio.Originally from Owensboro Ky and settling near Montgomery Al, Jamie Hamilton has played nearly every style of music. The entire trio also gigs with transplanted Chicago bluesman John Bull. The group draws on many inluences such as 60s jazz guitar and the instrumental blues of Freddy King. The form is of finger popping jazzy instrumentals with plenty of space for improvisation. The goal is to create music for the players to enjoy but not alienate the listener.Check out the tunes and be on the lookout for new music in the fall of 2003. |
