Artist History Two New York native Latinos have cooked up a sound they call HEAVY MERGE.Funk, Jazz and R&B with Latin and World spices thrown in for good measure.The musicians in this band serve up global music for the global community.Rich with world influences, Heavy Merge reflects the diversity of the'melting pot' roots of its members. The group was formed in 1997 byGenevieve Gazon (vocalist) and Orlando Marin, Jr. (bass). Marin and Gazonare both offspring of legendary Latino NYC jazz artists. In the two shortyears the band has been performing live, they have acquired a fierce andloyal following throughout NYC and surrounding areas, packing venues as theygo.
