Artist History
Audiences at Chris Brown's live shows have come to expect the unexpected. While touring over the past year-and-a-half, those who have attended Chris' shows have seen and heard a acoustic guitarist who slaps, taps, bangs, crushes, and basically mutilates the guitar nightly. Combine a skillful attention to acoustic instrumental composition and a Metal and Progressive mentality and sense of style and you've got Chris Brown! Playing for the past 15 years, Chris began his music career at the early age of 12. While living in his hometown of Cumberland Gap, TN, he developed his skills on both acoustic and electric guitar. But it was his adventerous acoustic work which stood-out best. In 1992 Chris moved to Murfreesboro, TN in order to seriously pursue his music. Murfreesboro's close proximity to Nashville and its' own laid-backlifestyle provided him with a great environment in which he could both pursue his musical career and also have a quiet place away from the music industry to which he could come home and write. Chris is currently working on sessions for his debut full-length CD. No release date is available yet. In the meantime, enjoy these free MP3's and look for Chris to play at a venue near you in the future.
