    Press Reviews
By Nick Baldrian - Now this is more like it, finally it's nice to see major records companies taking a look at new artists, so maybe rock ain't over just yet? Atello are currently in talks with a few of the majors and it's easy to see why as "The Big Pay Off" is simply the hard rocking buisness. Atello are from Staten Island New York and they take their roots from eighties hard rock influences like Kiss, Firehouse, AldoNova, Nightranger, Winger and Van Halen. "The Big Pay Off" is about love, grief, confusion and desire all rolled into one, songs like "Emotional Blackmail" remind me of L.A.Guns, Sons Of Angels, Firehouse and Bon Jovi whilst "Full Moon Fever" gets the blood rotating with it's high energy hard rock attack , whilst on a more sombre note the bittersweet ballad "Hold On" punches a magnificent singalong chorus. For me though the top song award goes to the drum fire attack of "Blind Justice" which is just classic eighties rock a'la Van Halen, Motley Crue, Firehouse, Tyketto, Alice Cooper. Overall Atello have what it takes, good hard rocking songs with a great production and shit hot playing from all the band. Jim Barg who produced BonJovi and Winger has done a great job here, so it's no wonder that Atello are getting the major label consideration. I just hope things work out for these guys, as they are simply killer diller baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
