Artist History Dub hails from a public housing project on the South Side of Chicago. He honed his skills by living hand to mouth, slingin' homemade tapes to anyone who would listen. In a short period of time, he built up a following as one of the coldest freestyling MC's in the city. His popularity landed him a recording contract with a struggling independent label, which further increased his popularity in the midwest. After the label folded due to a lack of resources, Dub took his talent to the street, entering open mike contests and other events that showcased his obvious talent. A chance meeting with Un-D-Nyable recording artists, Entourage led to Dub collaborating with the group on turn You Out from their debut CD, The Fall Backs of a Playa. His skills shined through and Dub was offered a recording deal with the label.
