Artist History
The Mobtown Kings were formed in 2000 as an answer to the question, "Can an acoustic duo form a successful electric band?"
The answer, of course, was no. But, once Joey quit, the band had a new and exciting direction. The now-a-three-piece Mobtown Kings decided to pretend Joey had died in a tragic car accident, and to use the sympathy they receive to propel the band to ever greater heights. So far, so good.
ps: Don't tell Joey.
