Artist History
"And then there was TANGENT".... (Written by local editor, Jack Llyons) A little over a year ago (early 2001), 3 guys from Northern VA (Mike, Roger and Billy) decided they're going to get the band back together after a 7 year hiatus. They came across drummer, Gary and off they went on their new TANGENT. To date, every person that has heard them has been at a loss for words (in a good way). The most anybody can get out of their fans is usually "Holy Shit!" or "DAAAAMMMM" (along with an occasional blank stare). All we know is, the first CD was great and we've heard a few off of the new album "Half-Assed". Can we just say "YOU WON'T BELIEVE YOUR EARS!!”? Yes, it's only 8 songs (so we hear) but if the other 6 sound ANYTHING like what we've heard of "Over" and "Chair", we would have to say "DAAAAAMMMM"! Keep an eye out for these guys because you will soon have no choice. We're already listening to them on 99.3 The Fox in the Shenandoah area but expect more airplay soon! |

Press Reviews
Our favorite quote....
"Tangent is clearly the most eclectic, accomplished band in the Shenandoah Valley! With lyrics that eschew obfuscation, these cats have redefined blues rock with a unique sound that very few may may ever hope to achieve. In short, THEY KICK ASS!"
