Artist History Senile Driver was formed in 1998. The band consists of four members, all with distinct influences and personalities. Each member brings a different attitude to the table in the creative process that forms the music they write and play. The band has seen several line-up changes and the current line-up has been found to be the most compatible. Russ Head is the guitarist and original founding member of Senile Driver. Tommy Fagan was next to join as the bass player. Richard Smith joined in '99 as the drummer and Russ Bruce completed the fold as the vocalist when he joined in '01. All have prior experience with other groups and they've brought their talents together to become the best Augusta, Ga. has to offer. In the short time that the current line-up has been together, Senile Driver have put out a demo/ep, performed at several multi-band showcases in Augusta and Atlanta, opened for several of Augusta's biggest bands, and have recently begun to headline many of the clubs in the area. The band's following has grown from close friends to a large contingency of loyal fans. Many have said that addition of Russ Bruce on vocals has brought about this change, due largely to his vocal range and charismatic performances. Senile Driver is currently in the studio working on new tracks to be featured on their debut album, due early next year. They are taking a break from playing out to focus completely on this project.
