Artist History
We came together after a girl named Bonnie put up posters around our campus (Oberlin College) looking for people to play Stooges/Velvets/Ramones-ish punk with. 15 of us showed up for a meeting. We let it hang for a while, then Mike and Kristie started playing together just before spring semester and it really clicked--it really felt good.
Bonnie got back, and with her brought a drummer named Amir. Now, there are all sorts of stories I could tell you about Amir, but they're not appropriate for a public place. Anyway, we practiced twice a week, wrote some songs, played some pretty horrible gigs, got really drunk, and Bonnie tried to quit the group. She came back, but we were never quite the same. Mike and Kristie recorded the songs you hear from "The Commencement Sessions" by themselves.
The band is now in limbo as Mike is in Brooklyn, waiting for Kristie to graduate and join him. Then we will take over the world.
