Artist description Energy and melody. If there are two more important elements to rock and roll no one has discovered them yet. If it's done right, attitude and passion are the things that come out of the speakers-and a whole lot of volume. Lucky Stiff is a band that tries to stay true to the spirit of rock and roll. It's heartbreak and whiskey. It's dark humor and indiscretion. It's energy and melody. Their music is a blend of influences but mainly combines the energy of punk, the pop sensibilities of early 80's indie-rock and a dose of Hank Williams to keep you guessing. It's not the kind of music you'd want to overanalyze, more of an escape. The live shows are the strong point and the most important one. We're a live band. Our first full-length CD is finally done and though there was a lot of work put into it, it has a live feel. Lucky Stiff hopes to be playing at a club near you (wherever you are) soon. Then its time for the VH-1 Behind the Music i.e.: breakup, rehab, reunion. We'll all watch it together and have a laugh ... Don't worry we'll bring the beer!
