Artist description
The evasive sound is hard to categorise. It blends European metal influences with melody and technical ability. An Australian band doing something different in the genre. From the official site:
Evasive are a melbourne metal band from the north eastern suburbs.
The music is hard to categorise, but it is very derivative of the Swedish Gothenburg
scene and European metal in general.
One good description, made by ISOLAR's infamous manager, George stated: 'You
have your own original sound which makes it
interesting. The majority of new bands have the sound of Limp Bizkit or Slipknot.'
Evasive have avoided this music like the
plague. |

METAL REVIEW
In a sea of blacks, Goths and metal head, all with great music taste, flocked to the previous FIAB gig -5th of May- to
see Evasive, Abrasion, Hellspawn, Misery and Frankenbok.
The night kicked off to a gruelling start with Evasive pumping their monster riffs and killer bass lines to the
appreciative crowd.
Long dark hair was the go for the Abrasion crowd as their old school metal mesmerised them and left all breathless and
aching from hardcore headbanging.
Next up came Hellspawn, who delivered their deafening roars, packed in sleek spiky leather and armed with crosses. Their gut
wrenching sounds were heard from miles away and it was enough to please any metal lover.
The Banana Bending Queenslanders named Misery played next infused with nestial rage and ready to blow all away. The crowd was
plenty receptive even though most were waiting in anticipation for headlining band Frankenbok to blast onto stage, face paint
and all.
As anticipated, Franknebok truly delivered. Fans were left awestruck and wanting more.
It was a highly successful night thanks to all the bands and responsible metal goers.
Sorry about the no spikes rule.
