Artist description
Interweaving guitar-driven rock, tinges of emo and even a little jazz, The Code Green is a stylistic breath of fresh air in the Boston rock scene. Comprised of guitarist/singer Jim Callery (Buddha Pillar, The Leftovers), bassist Seth Major (Cloud Art, SandOze), guitarist Scott Harris and drummer Scott Therrien (both formerly of Cloud Art), The Code Green emerged in the spring of 2001.
Since their inception, they have developed a distinctive brand of moody alternative rock. Within a song, the four range from introspective, melodic tranquility to driving, ethereal intensity. Vocals, rhythms and harmonies ebb and flow - at times subdued and peaceful, at times breakneck and furious. The Code Green wish to make themselves known in a music scene sorely lacking in bands of their style.
