Artist History
In the fall of 1998, Chris Patti and Justin Malik formed a ska band in a garage in the suburbs. They started off by playing mostly cover songs
from such bands as Green Day, Reel Big Fish, and Less Than Jake. They eventually recruited others and called themselves Alias Anything.
They practiced wherever and whenever they could: after school, on weekends, etc.
As high school graduation grew near in May 2000, Alias Anything grew apart. Ultimately, due to conflicts, Chris and Justin began playing punk music on their own. Because he knows how to play both instruments, Justin would often switch playing guitar and drums. Justin's older brother, Neal Malik (guitarist) and his friend, Tom Nguyen (bassist) joined Justin and Chris. The four of them formed a new band. After a suggestion from Tom, the band decided to call themselves "My-Favorite-Band." After months of playing, the band found Adam Plost (guitarist) who began contributing his own song ideas. Justin filled the position of drums to complete the band. Eventually, Tom moved from being a second bassist for the band to manager and is currently helping with publicity, video/photos, merchandise sales, and lots more.
Currently, the band is playing many local shows and expanding their fan base. With melodic sounds and meaningful lyrics, the band tears up the stage with their live performances playing with flawless sound. In fact, just to mix things up a bit, during their live shows, Adam and Justin often switch instruments... something that no other band we've seen has done before. Due to their wide range of music, which ranges anywhere from pop to hardcore, the band appeals to a very diverse crowd.
In December 2001, the band self-released a new album, "Monkey Business," which impressed fans from all over the world |
