Artist History Started playing drums in band class 5th grade - quickly dropped out. Joined band again in 7th grade this time for Tenor Sax (still playing). In 7th grade parents rented classical guitar and arranged lessons for 2 months. Summer after 7th grade began piano lessons. 8th grade, started to learn and play bass in first garage band. Later in 8th grade played keyboards in same band. Started to sing in choir in 10th grade and play guitar in heavy metal band. In 11th grade started new rock band, playing guitar and singing. Freshman year in college joined The Northwest Symphonic Band (Tenor sax) and was asked to play guitar in local jazz/rock quartet. Co-wrote a tribute song for a friend's suicide (guitar, vocals). Took drum lessons summer after freshman year in college and began writing lyrics & music more frequently. Few months before wedding began performing around the Portland are at open mics. Week after wedding played guitar in brother's punk/rock band. Shortly thereafter began gigging all over town.
