Artist History Dan Block, 16, started his first band, Nine Levels Down, when he was in 8th grade. He played bass and was lead vocalist. Also in the band were drummer Jono Leff, lead guitarist Kyle Knowlton, and rhythm guitarist Adam Higgins. They recorded a 2 song demo cd after a year of playing together, but shortly after that, the two guitarists left the band. Dan started teaching himself guitar and wrote a bunch of new songs that he and Jono played. About a year later, he went to a recording studio in Starksboro, Vermont and recorded 14 songs that he had written. He played guitar, bass, some percussion, keyboards, lead vocals, and harmonies on most songs. Jono played the drums on 12 of the songs, and various other guests came in to do harmony vocals on 5 of the songs. The album "Dance" will be released towards the end of this year.
