Artist description
Stephanie's music is raw, earthy folk-rock blended with dark, moody pop steeped in sultry-country twang amaretto with an orange twist. Where grass roots meets ethereal meets funk, you'll find her music. This ain't no easy listening folks! If you're looking for some lame cakewalk music with it's main ingredient Kraft cheese, you've made a wrong turn. No preservatives added and sugar free. Like water is to the earth diversity is to Stephanie's music. As you can see the name Schneiderman is buzzing around the Northwest music scene and beyond as this brave, graceful and mystic soul is carving out her musical niche in her own poetic terms.

Artist History
Stephanie Schneiderman's gritty sultry songwriting and earthy, chameleon-like voice is creating remarkable industry momentum for her latest project, 'UNBELIEVABLY UNBROKEN'. Which follows on the heels of a successful first album that maintained a spot on the NW Top Selling Artist Chart for nine months reaching as high as #1 on the chart. The advance release singles from UNBROKEN have received air play from stations like Portland's KINK FM102(regular rotation play list) and Seattle's KMMT FM103.7. Nationally, her song "New Skin Completed" was featured on "Jack & Jill", The WB's prime time show, and is also the title track for a soon to be released film, "Kate and Allison" (starring Jamie Gertz and Johnathan Silverman). In 1999, the song also landed her on stage at The Lilith Fair in Portland, OR winning the fair's regional slot after less then a year as a solo artist. *** Stephanie takes her craft seriously, honoring every song idea that she encounters. "My songs usually start on receipts, napkins, or parking tickets," laughs Schneiderman. "If I get a melody or lyric in my head and I'm not home, I'll call my voice mail, and leave it there. I believe that the song already exists and that it comes through me, not necessarily from me." Her songwriting appeal comes from her ability to give each song a personality. Her acting acumen(she played a nurse in the film "Men of Honor") helps her express the song's particular emotion by diving "heart first" into the song. The result is a repertoire of material that carries a dynamic and emotional quality rarely seen in today's pop-candy music market.
